Ann Wagner

Ann Elizabeth Wagner, age 89, of French Village, passed away Monday, June 13, 2022, at Farmington Presbyterian Manor. Ann was born on Monday, August 22, 1932 in Edina, MO, to her late parents William H. and Cora “Clara” (nee Haffarnan) Becker and raised by John and Mary Becker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Wilfred Becker, Eleanor Ziegler, and Virginia Kempf.

Before her illness Ann was an active member of St. Anne Catholic Church in French Village and was involved with church activities, the Knights of Columbus ladies’ auxiliary, and the pro-life movement.  Ann also delivered meals on wheels to the Bonne Terre community with her husband Norbert. In her spare time, she liked to work word search puzzles and dabbled in calligraphy, cake decorating, and floral arranging. She spent many summers gardening, canning, and making homemade jelly.

She is survived by her loving husband Norbert Wagner of 51 years; two children, James “Jim” Wagner and Julia “Julie” (Nate) Boswell; one grandson, Liam Boswell; and one brother James “Jim” (Edeltraud) Becker.

A funeral Mass will be held at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in French Village on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 11:00 A.M. with Father Jim French officiating.  Immediately following will be a graveside service and burial at St. Anne’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cure Alzheimer’s Fund (curealz.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (alz.org).
