Anna (Thomas) Queen of Ironton, Missouri passed away on September 8, 2020 in Pilot Knob, Missouri at the age of 82 years. She was born May 26, 1938 in Graniteville, Missouri the daughter of Charles Edward and Bertha Viola (McGill) Thomas. Anna was married to Harvey Queen February 20, 1961. He preceded her in death January 22, 1988. Anna is survived by her children: Leslie Boren and husband, Ron of Pilot Knob, Missouri; Tammy Queen and Mike Gay of Pilot Knob, Missouri; Kevin Queen and wife, Jill of Pilot Knob, Missouri; Shannon Campbell and husband, Richard of Ironton, Missouri; Terry Tate and husband, Bill of Ironton, Missouri. Also surviving are her daughter-in-law, Yolanda Queen of Paducah, Kentucky, seventeen grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and wonderful friends. In addition to her husband, Anna was preceded in death by her children: Mark Queen and James “Jimmy” Queen, her sisters; Dorothy Bates, Virginia Thomas and her brother, Don Thomas. Anna retired after more than twenty-five years of service as the Dietary Supervisor at Arcadia Valley Hospital. She was a member of the Ironton Church of the Nazarene and the VFW Ladies Auxillary. Anna’s favorite activity was to surround herself with her loving family. She loved family cook outs and was a terrific cook. She will be missed by family and friends. Due to the recent increase in COVID-19 cases, Bryson Funeral Home does require all family members and guests to wear a mask while visiting our facility.
