With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Anthony Andrew Hamby, beloved father, grandfather, and brother, who left this world on September 5, 2026, just days shy of his 87th birthday. Born on September 9, 1939, in St. Louis, MO, Tony lived a life full of adventure and joy, ultimately calling Pilot Knob, MO, his home.

Tony was a devoted man, known for his love of family and dedication to his work as a lineman in the electrical industry. He was proud of his trade, and it was often said that his hands held the knowledge of many years in service to his community. He always enjoyed sharing stories from the lines he worked on, and his laughter was infectious.

Outside of work, Tony had a passion for boating, antiques, and travel. He often spent sunlit days on the water, soaking in the beauty of nature and creating unforgettable memories with loved ones. His eye for antiques reflected a deep appreciation for history and craftsmanship, and his travels were filled with stories that brought a sparkle to his eye.

Anthony is survived by his loving family: 2 sons, Andrew (Aimee) Hamby and Tony (Phyllis) Hamby; 6 grandchildren, Austin Hamby, Logan Hamby, Noah Hamby, Emma Hamby, Megan (Andrew) Walters, and Reece (Danni) Hamby, 6 great grandchildren, Brooke, Jackson, Blakeley, Laurel, Holden, and Hudson; and a brother John Hamby. Each of them carries forward a piece of his spirit and legacy.

Anthony was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Leola Hamby; his loving wife, Danette Hamby; and one brother, Rich Crowley.
