Mr. August Roy Queen passed away Sept. 20, 2005, at Jefferson Memorial Hospital, Festus, Mo., at the age of 73 years, 1 month & 18 days. Mr. Queen was born Aug. 2, 1932, in Pilot Knob, Mo., to Ervin Jacob Queen & Addie Alice 'Thurman' Queen. Also preceding were: his 1st wife, Iris Queen & 2 Brothers.
Mr. Queen was a US MARINES CORPS Veteran of the Korean War.
Survivors Include: His WIFE: Judith E. 'Wallace' Queen, of French Village; 3 Daughters: Gwen (Mrs. Randy) Burgdorf, of Imperial, MO; Kathy (Mrs. Alan) Clifton, of Fenton, MO; Cheryl (Mrs. Phil) Hill, of Arnold, MO; 4 Step-Daughters: Linda (Mrs. Joe) Waggoner, of Sullivan, MO; Laura (Mrs. Darren) Head, of Japan; Lisa (Mrs. Jerry) Samuels, of Springfield, MO; & Lucinda Layton, of Sunnyvale, CA; 1 Step-Son: Robb Layton, of St. Clair, MO; an Adopted Daughter: Darlene (Mrs. Roger) Yancey, of Evans, GA; 5 Sisters: Alma Mathews, of Ironton; Wilma Pogue, of Farmington; Judy Perry, of Doe Run; Coeta (Mrs. Ralph) Schottle, of St. Peters & Linda (Mrs. John) Schmoll, of Catawissa, MO; 2 Brothers: Jack (& Virginia) Queen, of Ironton & Bobbie (& Myrna) Queen, of Margate, FL. Also, 11 Grandchildren: Ryan; Julie & Scott Burgdorf; Kristy & Kenneth Clifton; Dan; Joshua & Caleb Hill; Keith & Marcus Vines & Danielle Detjen.
Visitation: Saturday, 10 am - 12 Noon, at Taylor Funeral Service, Inc., Farmington.
Graveside Service Funeral: Saturday, 3 pm, Sept. 24, 2005, with Phil Hill officiating.
Interment: IOOF Cemetery, Charleston, MO.
