Bailey Elizabeth (Barton) Owen

Bailey Owen, age 24, of Louisville, Kentucky formerly of Bismarck went to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, October 20, 2023. Bailey passed away at the University of Louisville Heart Hospital after sustaining injuries due to a car accident in early July. She was born on Wednesday, March 17, 1999, to Larry and Carmen (Conway) Barton.

Bailey was preceded in death by her grandparents, Richard and Joyce Conway, Judy Barton and Brenda Owen.

Bailey was a member of Southeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY. and Purpose Church in Murray, KY. where she loved worshiping Jesus. She was a 2021, graduate of Murray State University. Bailey worked at Marnel C. Moorman School in Shelbyville, KY. as a Behavior Intervention Specialist where she loved working with special needs children. She coached freshman volleyball at Martha Layne Collins High School and was also the assistant coach on the varsity team. Bailey loved going shopping, spending time with her family and friends and most of all her fur baby Winnie.

Bailey married the love of her life William “Will” Owen on July 30, 2022, who survives. Also surviving are her loving parents, Larry and Carmen; siblings, Gustavo Perez-Sandi and wife Brenda, Heather Mosier and husband Stephen; nieces and nephews, Gwen, Bronson and Emerson Mosier, Xavi and Thiago Perez-Sandi; grandfather, Larry Barton; great-grandmother, Mabel Reeves; in-laws, Cindy Melton and husband Chris, Brian Owen and wife Courtney; brothers-in-law; Wes, Trey and Greyson Owen, Nolan Melton, Tyler Hedrick along with numerous other family and friends.

Visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home-Taylor Chapel in FARMINGTON 111 E. Liberty St. on Thursday, October 26, 2023, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM.
Funeral Service will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home Chapel in DESLOGE 1116 N. Desloge Drive on Friday, October 27, 2023, at 11:00 AM with visitation starting that morning at 9:00 AM. Pastor Dustin McClain to officiate and burial to follow at Bismarck Masonic Cemetery in Bismarck. Memorials in memory of Bailey can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
