Barbara Jean Boyd

Barbara Jean Boyd, 72, of Farmington, passed away February 15, 2023 at Camelot Nursing and Rehab Center.  She was born June 7, 1950 in Youngstown, Ohio to the late Eugene and Barbara Ann (Eveland) Greco. She was also preceded in death by her beloved husband, George Boyd; and sister, Judith Ann Greco.

Barbara had a career caring for others as an RN and Nursing Home Administrator. She was a longtime member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Farmington.  She volunteered at the St. Vincent DePaul Food Pantry and spent time shopping and spoiling her grandchildren.

Barbara is survived by her children, Barbara Darlene (John “Buddy”) Davis of Cape Girardeau, Brian (Rikki) Boyd of Farmington, and Michael (Natalie) Boyd of Farmington; grandchildren, Danielle (James) Breckenridge, J.R. Davis, Natalie Davis, Luke Boyd, Zack Boyd, Ally Boyd, Scarlett Boyd; sister, Mary (Norman) Nolte of Katy, TX.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 22, 2023, from 4:30 PM to 7:00PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home–Taylor Chapel in Farmington.  A mass will be held at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Farmington on Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 10:00 AM with Rev. William Thess officiating, assisted by Deacon Mike Burch. Inurnment will follow at New Calvary Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
