Barbara Laplant

         Barbara Laplant, 57, of Park Hills, passed away January 16, 2016 at Jefferson Mercy in Festus. She was born in St. Louis, April 25, 1958, to the late Delores Lawson. Barbara was employed at Huffy Bicycle for a number of years. She was Grandma Barb and dearly loved by her seven grandchildren.

            She was preceded in death by her mother; grandson in infancy, Blake; two sisters, Susan Jane Gowen and Alice Fay Alexander.

            Barb is survived by her two children, Daniel Linn “Dee” LaPlant and fiance Jamie Miller, and Tammy Lynn LaPlant; seven grandchildren, Jacob, Lee Anna, Levi, Daniel, Emily Sue, Jesse and Charley; father of her children, Danny LaPlant; six siblings, Gloria Essman, Sheila Lawson, April (Rick) Harrison, Nancy (Mike) Meyers, Garth (Veronica) Lawson, and Reagan Baker; special friend, Grady Barton.

            Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Leadwood, Wednesday, January 20, 2016 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Leadwood, Thursday, January 21, 2016 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Mike Barton officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington.
