Barbara Winkelman

Barbara Lorraine Winkelman, age 73 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on December 24, 2016 at the Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown. She was born on August 4, 1943 in St. Louis, Missouri, a daughter of James Edward and Eliza Ellen (Hughes) Newhouse. On December 10, 2005 in Roselle, Missouri she was united in marriage to John Muse Winkelman, he survives in Fredericktown. Other survivors include: one son - Jeff ByWater of Los Angeles, California; four brothers - Bud (Pat) Newhouse of Roselle, Missouri, Jim Newhouse of St. Pete Beach, Florida, Charles (Paula) Newhouse of Roswell, New Mexico and Albert (Marilyn) Newhouse of DeSoto, Missouri; one sister - Nellie Usher of Ironton, Missouri; four step children - Johnny Winkelman of Farmington, Missouri, Daniel (Alee) Winkelman of Ballwin, Missouri, Robert (Tracy) Winkelman of Fredericktown and Christopher Winkelman of Peoria, Illinois; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild, five step grandchildren and one step great grandchild. Barbara was an RN for the Stockhoff Nursing Home and Madison Medical Center in Fredericktown; she enjoyed sewing, volunteering for meals on wheels and loved going to church where she was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Fredericktown. Visitation will be from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m., on Friday, December 30, 2016 at the Seventh Day Adventist Church with services at 2:00 p.m., also at the church. A private inurnment may be held at a later date.
