Bernard "Bud" Edward Whitaker

Bernard Edward Whitaker, "Bud" age 86 of Fredericktown, Missouri passed away on Friday, December 13, 2019 at the Stockhoff Memorial Nursing Center in Fredericktown. He was born on August 18, 1933 in Green Briar, Arkansas, a son of James Edward and Willie Viola (Johnston) Whitaker. On December 23, 1955 in St.Louis, Missouri he was united in marriage to Gladys "Marie" Rainey, she precedes him in death. He is also preceded by his parents and two sisters, Hazel and Helen. Those surviving include his three daughters & sons-in-law – Donna & Gary Meyer of Imperial, Missouri, Karen & Wesley Weimer of Grand Prairie, Texas and Kathy & John Clifford of St. Louis, Missouri; grandchildren – Jamie (Keith) McFarlane, Craig (Amber) Bent, Philip Harris and Lisa (Roger) Cedeno; great grandchildren – Kennadee, Lucas, Forrest, Emily, Lyndon, Henry, Lucy and Landyn and many nieces and nephews. Bud was a United States Army veteran; after serving his country he later went to work for Serv-U Manufacturing Company in St. Louis. His hobby was watching the St. Louis Cardinals, the Cubs and anything sports. He loved eating hamburgers, drinking Budweiser and going to Vegas. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Wilson funeral Home in Fredericktown. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., also on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 at Wilson funeral Home with Bro. Clyde Bess officiating. Interment will follow at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis. Condolences Condolences may be posted on this website.
