Bernard Lavern White, 89, formally of Farmington, passed away June 3, 2026, at Castlewood Assisted Living in Nixa, MO. He was born May 28, 1937, in Beatrice, Nebraska, to the late Clifford William and Genevive Merle (Maine) White. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife of 60 years Peggy White; two brothers Clifford White, David White and a brother-in-law Bob Tison.
Bernard enjoyed gardening, reading, anything to do with space exploration, his bible studies, and his church family. Most of all he was a very devoted husband to his wife of 60 years Peggy.
Bernard is survived by his children, Cheryl Stevens and husband Vincent: Dale White and wife Kim; five grandchildren, Dustin (Autum) Stevens, Bethany (Brian) Webb, Shane Stevens, Amanda (Jason) Vernoy, Nicole Heberlein (Alex); sixteen great-grandchildren; two sisters; Leah Mae Tison and Alice Trolinger (James) as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at noon with Rev. Greg Robinson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Farmington. Memorial donations may be made to Missouri Baptist Children’s Home or the Alzheimer’s Association.
