Bernice Pettus

          Bernice Pettus, 95, of Bonne Terre, passed away peacefully July 14, 2022, at Southbrook Nursing Facility in Farmington.  She was born June 15, 1927, in Elvins, to the late Emil and Susan (Keay) Halter. 

                   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil “Baggy” Pettus; daughters, Sandra Keen and Susan Lindsey; three brothers, Delano, Dale and Durwood Halter; three sisters, Rena McFarland, Dorothy Abbott and Lela Price.

          Bernice is survived by three children, Danny Pettus and wife Judy of Bismarck, Ronald Pettus and wife Donna of Bonne Terre, Karen Worley and husband Richard of Farmington; eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and sister, Willa Arnold of Farmington.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Monday, July 18, 2022, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:30 AM.  Reverend Bryce Wilson will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Three Rivers Cemetery in Farmington.  Memorials may be directed to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or Three Rivers Cemetery.
