Mrs. Bernice E. "Tooky" Rickus passed away Saturday morning, December 12, 2015, at Camelot Manor, in Farmington, at the age of 89 years, 11 months & 2 days. Bernice was born on January 10, 1926, at Brownwood, MO., & was the daughter of Oscar Ural Barnhart and Mary Agnes 'Mason' Barnhart. Also preceding in death were: her husband, Robert Lewis Rickus, Sr., (1996); 3 sisters - Ruby Babb; Josephine Causey & Patricia Rickus. 1 brother - Jerome "Bud" Barnhart & 1 grandson, Brandon Pratte.
Bernice was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Farmington; St. Paul Lutheran Ladies Aide; Women's Club & LWML. She was a member of both the VFW & American Legion Ladies Auxillary. She volunteered as a Pink Lady in the Gift Shop at Parkland Health Center for many years.
Survivors include: 3 children - Sandra Sue (& Robert) Pratte, of O'Fallon, MO; Robert (& Noy) Rickus, Jr., of Farmington; Marilyn Beth (& Eric) Freeburg, of Farmington. 3 grandchildren - Rhenda (& Jesse) Cortor; Jason (& Dawn) Pratte; Maridee (& Matt) Neilsen. Also, 1 great-grandson, Josh Moore.
Visitation : Monday, 4-6 p.m. Visitation resumes Tuesday @ 10:00 a.m.
Funeral : Tuesday, 11:00 a.m., December 15, 2015
at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. William Schroeder officiating.
Interment follows at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery, Farmington
