Bertha Jane Laplante

Bertha Jane "Bert" (Barber) LaPlante of Ironton, Missouri passed away at her home on August 14, 2015 at the age 71 years. She was born on June 1, 1944, the daughter of the late Albert and Frieda (Friebe) Barber. On March 19, 1966 she was united in marriage to David LaPlante who preceded her in death on March 26, 2009. To this union two children were born: Mrs. Shelly and husband Randy Tate of Farmington, Missouri and Mr. Owen and wife Shannen LaPlante of Springfield, Missouri who survive. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Dustin Tate, DeShay Tate, and Cora LaPlante; and one great granddaughter Chole Tate as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other friends and many relatives. Bert is preceded in death by her parents Albert and Frieda Barber and her husband David LaPlante. Bert work for many years at Asarco in Glover as an accountant.
