Lorene Ragsdale, 93, of Farmington, passed away November 9, 2014 at Community Manor in Farmington. She was born August 21, 1921, to the late Joel Hardy and Bertha Ann (Landers) Koen. Lorene and her late husband, were the owners of Ragsdale's Furniture for over 50 years and were members of The First United Methodist Church of Park Hills. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Leeman "Mutt" Ragsdale; siblings, Robert Koen, Hardy Koen, and Mary McLeod. Lorene is survived by her daughters, Karen (Mrs. Charles) Rhodes of St. Louis, Rita (Mrs. Garry) Branch, and Lorilee Butcher of Park Hills; grandchildren, Lyndlee (Mrs. Steve) Mabry, Lauren (Mrs. Bobby) Young, Mark (Melissa) Mills, Lance (Kim) Mills, Brad Butcher, and Staci (Mrs. Scott) Murphy; great-grandchildren, Erin, Tyler, Jacy, Brynn, Sarah (Ben), Jessica, Mackenzie, Connor, Cole, Carson, and Casen; great-great-grandchildren, Faith and Alexia; sisters, Lucille (Mrs. Harold) Weiss, Betty Forsythe of Farmington; sister-inlaw, Erma Koen Henry of Florida. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Thursday, November 13, 2014 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. The service will be held in the C.Z. Boyer and Son Chapel, Friday, November 14, 2014 at 11:00 AM with Rev. Eddie Bone officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre.
