Betty Denton

Betty Denton, 95, of Desloge, passed away April 5, 2023, surrounded by the ones who loved her.  She was born March 28, 1928, in Irondale, to the late Charles and Lillian (Chapel) Beck.  She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Desloge.  Betty enjoyed working in her flower garden, was an avid reader, member of Iris Club, an active member in her church, until her health interfered.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Darrell E. Denton; siblings, Edna Rice, Virginia Hatridge, Evelyn Ferrell, Helen Spier, Charles Beck; and great-granddaughter, Ella Roth.

Betty is survived by her children, Lana Denton, Donna Ford and husband Joseph and Darrell Stephen “Steve” Denton; grandchildren, Amanda Jarrett and husband Scott, Courtney Roth and husband Jacob and Caitlin Ford; five great-grandchildren, Aidan Jarrett, Brighton Roth, Lillian Roth, Lilah Roth and Finley Roth; special friend, Winnie Knox; several nieces, nephews, other family members and friends also survive.

A memorial visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Saturday, April 8, 2023, from 10:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.  Pastor Bradford Laubinger will be officiating.
