Betty Jane (Keen) Eaton went to her heavenly home, Friday, July 28, 2023. Betty was 85 years 7 months 21 days. She was born on December 7, 1937, in Cadet to the late Wesley & Marie (Wilkinson) Keen of Bonne Terre.

She was married to the love of her life, the late Darmon Eaton. They were united in marriage in DeSoto County, Mississippi in 1956, and to their union they had two children Terry Eaton & Donna (Eaton) Lewis.

Betty retired on December 12, 1997, from Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center in Farmington with 36 years of dedicated service.  Known as “Grandma Betty” she was so proud of each of her grandchildren. Her favorite thing was always family togetherness. She attended House of Praise Church of God in Desloge. Betty was an avid collector of Charlie Brown, St. Louis Cardinals, Thomas Kinkade, Betty Bop and The Grinch. She also enjoyed collecting various bells and shopping on QVC.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Terry; in-laws, Vernie & Alta (Davis) Eaton; grandson, Bradley Lewis; siblings: Patsy Keen, Ralph (Carol) Keen, Vi (Al) Jennings, Kathryn (Bob) Williamson, Paul (Pat) Keen, Bob Keen, brother in infancy “Baby Keen”, brother- in-law, Bill Butler, brothers & sisters in-law; Bud (Mag) Eaton, Erma (Clifford) Frazer, Phyllis (Don) Bohr, Juanita (Henry) Bohnenkamp, Dallas (Dot) Eaton, Clarence Dixon; nephews, Brody Keen, Dale Kennon, Donnie Eaton, Johnathan Scott, Conner Dixon, Jake Eaton; nieces, Sandy Butler, Kathleen Frazer, Sue Reed.

Betty is survived by her daughter, Donna (Richard) Lewis Sr.; daughter-in-law, Connie (Pinson) Eaton; grandchildren, Jason (Alicia Pallo) Eden, Matt (Megan Bell) Eaton, Crystal (Mark) Coffman, Rachael (Ben) Dement, Richard (Amanda Stratton) Lewis II.; great-grandchildren, Madison Eden and Brennon Brackett, Ava Eden and Braydon Scherffius, Bradley Lewis II, Shelby Eaton, Cora Eden, Kyndall Eaton, Chloe Coffman, Richard Lewis III, Kenlee Lewis, Kenadie Eaton, Maverick Dement, Baby Alavia Dement coming in December great- granddaughter Baby Scherffius due in January; special children in her life, Angie Luther and Dalton Boyer; siblings, Veronica (Ronnie) Butler, Shirley (Wyman) Kennon, Jimmy (Joyce) Keen, Charlotte Keen.  In Law Siblings: Mary Ann (Eaton) Dixon & Bob) (Charlotte) Eaton along with many special nieces, nephews and lifetime friend, Pat Bess.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Tuesday, August 1, 2023, from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Visitation will resume at the House of Praise Church of God in Desloge on Wednesday, August 2, 2023, from 10:00 A.M. until service time at 1:00 P.M. with Rev Josh Vandergraph officiating.  Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park Bonne Terre.

Memorials may be made in memory of her grandson, Paul Bradley Lewis Scholarship Fund c/o Leadco Community Credit Union in Park Hills.
