Betty Jane Roux

Betty Jane (Sitzes) Roux, age 92, passed away on Friday December 28, 2018 at St. Joe Manor in Bonne Terre, Missouri. She was born September 22, 1926 to the late Charles and Minnie (Brown) Sitzes. Betty was a mother of eight, a housewife, and a member of the Flat River Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband, Clinton Roux; four children, Randall Roux, Betty Jean Roux, Cynthia Roux-Smith and Thomas Roux; two brothers, Patrick Sitzes and Roderick Sitzes; and three sisters, Lorraine Tuckert, Sadie Jenkins, and Rose Marie Gear.

She is survived by her children, Darrell Roux and his wife Sheila, Charolette James, Sandra Blackwell and her husband Bruce, and Carl Roux and his wife Kathy; sixteen grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren; and brother Charles Sitzes and his wife Faye.

The funeral service will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home 313 Benham Street in Bonne Terre, Missouri on Saturday January 5, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home on Friday, January 4, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Betty will be laid to rest in Bonne Terre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
