Betty Kathern Marler, 89, of Bonne Terre, passed away peacefully Friday, July 29, 2022, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She was born Thursday, September 1, 1932, in St, Louis, to the late Matthew and Mickey “Louise” (Wigger) Ketcherside.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 42 years, Lindell Marler; one great-grandson Isaiah Furry; three brothers, Roy (Mary) Ketcherside, Harold Ketcherside and Edward (Doresa) Ketcherside; one sister, Shirley (Alan) Winkle.

Betty was a bus driver for 20 years where she retired from the Central School District, a member of the Greater St. Louis Archeology Society, and attended Life Christian Church in DeSoto. She enjoyed gardening, going to flea markets, but most of all Betty enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her three children David (MaryAnn) Marler, Lindell “Wayne” (Rita) Marler and Mary (Bill) Limpert. Six grandchildren; Mechelle (Eugene) Pate, Taeitha (Edward) Demery, Eric (Christina) Marler, Kiera Marler, Dustin (Rebecca) Furry and Matthew (Michelle) Limpert. Along with twenty-one great-grandchildren and two great great -grandchildren. One sister-inlaw Patricia Ketcherside and many nieces and nephews survive.

 Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre, Tuesday, August 2, 2022, from 11:00AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM. Pastor Alan David will be officiating. Interment will follow at Bonne Terre Cemetery.
