Betty Lou Nicholas of Oakley, California passed away November 19, 2024 at the age of 90 years. She was born November 14, 1934 in St. Louis, Missouri the daughter of the late James Monroe Blankenship and Dora Edna (Ford) Blankenship. 
Betty is survived by her son, Paul Tucker of Oakley, California. Three grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Betty was one of twenty children born to her parents. There are three surviving siblings, her brother: J.M. Kirk Blankenship of Festus, Missouri; and two sisters: Gertrude Henson of Glendale, Arizona; and Linnie Layton of Bonne Terre, Missouri as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. 
Betty was preceded in death by her siblings: Rodger, Anne, Ruby, James, Enoch, Samual, Sarah, Paul, George, Mary, Barbara, Clardean, Thomas, Richard, Larry, and Martha.
Betty loved to paint, especially with pencil or acrylic. She enjoyed reading and gardening. She especially loved the water and water sports.
