Betty Smith

Betty Smith, 69, of Valles Mines, passed away Sunday, November 30, 2014 at Parkland Hospital. She was born Sunday, July 22, 1945 in East Prairie. She was retired from Walmart where she served as a manager in the Festus store. She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in DeSoto. She was preceded in death by her father, Carl J. Clark; three brother-in-laws, Charles Riley, Bruce Sipp, and Roger Marler; mother and father-in-law, Eddie and Irene Smith. Betty is survived by her husband, Charles Smith; children, Tony Smith and wife Nicole and Suzy Jennings and husband Jon; granddaughter, Zoe Carly Marie Jennings; mother, Jewel Clark; brother, Danny Clark and wife Debbie; sisters, Linda Sipp, Sandra Blum and husband Donald, Janice Marler; brother-in-laws Bill Smith and wife Geneva and Bobby Smith; sister-in-law Betty Riley; and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 4 to 8 at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Funeral service will be 10 am Wednesday at Emmanuel Baptist Church in DeSoto with Rev.
