Betty Ann Waller

Betty A. (Crabdree) Waller passed away peacefully at her residence on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at the age of 87

Born on Monday, February 7, 1938, the eldest daughter of the late Carl D. and Darilla M. (Babb) Crabdree. Betty was a devoted wife, loving mother, cherished grandmother, and treasured friend. She is survived by her beloved husband of 70 years, Robert L. Waller.

Betty’s legacy lives on through her children: Robbin (Ken) Haigler of North Carolina, Sandra (Larry) Gamby-Carey of Imperial, and Kem of Bonne Terre. She was a proud grandmother to Nathaniel (Caitlin) Haigler of NC, Travis (Jenny) Haigler of RI, Maranda (Joel Kaiser) Fritchey of CA, and Tara (Scott) Simpson of St. Charles. Her great-grandchildren—Trevor Tinker of CA, Alina Fritchey of MO, Charlotte and Samantha Haigler of NC, and Adeline Haigler of RI—brought her immense joy.

She is also survived by her siblings: Bonnie Taylor, Vernon (Gin) Crabdree, JD (Mary Lou) Crabdree, Carla (John) Graves, Tuf (Linda) Crabdree, and Tim (Anka) Crabdree, all residing in various parts of Colorful Colorado. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family, and dear friends.

For decades, Betty was known as "Betty Bus Driver" while working for various school districts. Her warm smile, no-nonsense attitude, and deep care for the children she transported made her a beloved figure in the community. She mentored many fellow drivers over the years and was a steady presence that earned the admiration and affection of all who knew her.

Betty was deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all whose lives she touched.

Celebration of Life will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel in Bonne Terre, Friday, August 8, 2025, from 2:00 PM until 6:00 PM.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Marvin Chapel Cemetery in Betty’s honor.
