Bill Hackworth

Bill N. Hackworth, 79, of Bonne Terre passed away December 6, 2014 at Parkland Health Center in Bonne Terre. He was born in Annapolis on August 29, 1935 to the late Irvin and Pearl (Leach) Hackworth. Also preceding in death was a sister, Mary Kelly, and a brother, Donald Hackworth. Bill was a retiree from Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center. He was a member of the Bonne Terre Fire Dept. for over 50 years and was a past member of the Bonne Terre Eagles. Bill is survived by his wife of 58 years, Barbara (Miller) Hackworth; son, Billy Dwayne and wife Julie Hackworth of Bonne Terre; two grandchildren, Jennifer Lynn Hackworth and Jason Scott Hackworth; two sisters, Sue (Ronald) Payne of Farmington and Barbara (Richard) Lee of Green River, Wyoming; one brother, Larry (Sharon) Hackworth of Leadwood. Visitation will be Monday December 8, 2014 from 5 to 8 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre. Funeral service will be 11 am on Tuesday at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Allen Baronovic officiating. Interment will follow at the Bonne Terre Cemetery.
