Bill Horton

     William “Bill” Horton, age 69, of Farmington, passed away Saturday, December 24, 2022, at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus. He was born on Wednesday, January 7, 1953, in Potosi to the late Frank and Cora (Ramo) Horton.

     Bill was employed with William’s Patent Crusher as a foreman and retired after 47 years of dedicated service. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Irondale. He was an avid farmer who also enjoyed gardening, riding his gator and traveling. Bill’s greatest joy in life was being with his children and grandchildren.          

     In addition to his parents, Bill was preceded in death by two sisters, Shirley Horton and Margie Rugh; three brothers, Edward, Jim and Jesse Horton.  

     Bill is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Vickie (Hulsey) Horton; three children, Amy Owens, Nicholas Mullins and wife Michelle, Carey Boyer and husband John; five grandchildren, Douglas Lawson II (Emily Meier), Grant Mullins, Mia Owens, Cole Mullins and Matthew Boyer; four siblings, Dan Horton and wife Kathy, Linda Thomas and husband Elwood, Dennis Horton and wife Betty, John Horton; special fur baby Ozzy; along with several nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

     Visitation will be held at C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge on Thursday, December 29, 2022, from 10:00 AM until service time of 12:00 PM with Rev. Kendall Hughes officiating. Burial to follow at Leadwood Cemetery.
