Billie "Bj" Newkirk

Billie “BJ” Newkirk, 40, of Park Hills was born on January 2, 1984, in Farmington, embraced life with a vibrant spirit and an unwavering faith. With profound sorrow, we share the news of her peaceful passing on January 14, 2024, at her sister’s residence in Bonne Terre. She was a beloved daughter, sister, mother, aunt and friend, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her.

BJ’s radiant personality and contagious laughter made her a joy to be around. Whether she was cooking up a storm or lending a listening ear, she had a knack for making people feel at ease. BJ’s nurturing nature led her to a fulfilling career as a cook in an adult health care industry, where she touched the lives of many with her delicious meals and compassionate care.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Robin (Leach) Hill; father, William Louis Cagle and grandma, Shirley Ramsey.

BJ is survived by her beloved sons, Johnathan Comeau and Blake Newkirk; foster momma to Bentley Black; cherished siblings, Stacy Lanman and husband Ron, Angie Cagle, Julie Black and husband Drew, William Cagle and wife Sarah, Renee Hulsey and husband Joel; nieces and nephews, Gracie, J.J., Bella, Emma, Andrew, Conner, Seth, Hannah, August, Aubree, Landon, Liv, Audre and Joella; step-mother, Mona Cagle.

To honor BJ’s memory and celebrate her remarkable life, funeral services will be held at The Bridge Community Church on Saturday, January 20, 2024. A memorial visitation will take place before the service, beginning at 11:00 am, allowing friends, family, and the community to come together to pay their respects. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm, with brother Ben Durbin officiating.

During this time of mourning, let us reflect on the joy, love, and laughter that BJ brought into our lives. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering her vibrant spirit and celebrating the unparalleled impact she had on our lives.

May her soul find eternal peace, and her memory forever inspire us to live life with love, laughter, and a zest for making every moment count. Memorials may be directed to St. Francois County’s “Shop with A Cop.”
