Brenda S. Cox

Brenda Sue Cox departed this life surrounded by loved ones on Thursday, October 21, 2010 at her residence having reached the age of 58. She was born February 4, 1952 in Bonne Terre, Missouri, a daughter of the late Melvin Jarvis and survived by her mother, Marple Jarvis of Stoney Point, MO.Brenda was united in marriage to Dyer Edward Cox Jr. on February 7, 1970 in Park Hills. She is survived by two sons, Richard E. Cox and girlfriend, Jennifer, Barry L. Cox and wife Karen; two daughters, Penny J. Hoskins and husband David, and Nancy J. Austin and husband Charles; twelve grandchildren; four great-granddaughters; three brothers, Dale Jarvis and wife Vicky of Stoney Point, Melvin C. Jarvis and wife Judy of Ironton, Paul Jarvis and wife Shelly of Bonne Terre; four sisters, Betty Easter and husband David of Park Hills, Rosey Jarvis of Stoney Point, Mary Griffin and husband Vernon of Stoney Point, Trina Vally and husband Jay of Potosi; a very special friend, Helen Allen of St. Louis; many nieces and nephews and other family and friends.Brenda was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.Visitation is 5:00 pm Saturday (October 23, 2010) at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge. Services are 2:00 pm Sunday (October 24, 2010) at C.Z. Boyer & Son Chapel with Rev. Cleo Counts officiating.
