Bro. Shirley Eugene Royer, age 92, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 12, 2025, at his home near Fredericktown, Missouri. He was born on October 27, 1932, in Silver Mines, Missouri to Howard Harmon and Audrey Jewell (Means) Royer.
   
  
On December 22, 1953, in Ironton, Missouri he was united in marriage to Gracie Alice Brooks, she survives at the home.
   
  
Other survivors include four sons – David Royer, Gary (Janie) Royer, Dennis (Charla) Royer and Steven (Kim) Royer all of Fredericktown; two daughters – Barb (Bill) Matthews and Brenda (Harley) Miller also of Fredericktown; two brothers – Roy (Joyce) Royer and Louis (Barbara) Royer both of Fredericktown; nineteen grandchildren; forty-nine great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
   
  
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by infant twin sons, John Mark and James Henry Royer; grandson, Josh Royer; four brothers, Charles, Paul Dean, Lee Gale, and Howard Royer and one sister, Linda Starkey.
   
  
Shirley was a United States Army Veteran; he was a minister for over 50 years, pastoring at the Free Union Church in Annapolis, Missouri and the Mill Creek Free Will Baptist Church; he loved working on his farm and cutting wood, but his greatest joy was his family.
   
  
Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.
   
  
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., also on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastors Tim Reed, Cody Royer and Dakota Royer officiating.
   
  
Interment will follow at the Royer Cemetery near Fredericktown with full Military Honor's.
