Bronce P. Smith, 84, passed away December 25, 2015 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Home surrounded by his loving family. He was born November 19, 1931 in Big Hill, Kentucky to the late Richard and Nellie (Powell) Smith.
Bronce served 8 years with the United States Army, while he was stationed in Manheim, Germany he participated in the Berlin Airlift. Bronce was the oldest member of the American Legion post #83.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Theresia “Rosie” (Lindner) Smith, daughter, Geraldine “Geri” Poucher of Farmington; two sons Darrell (Cindy) Smith, and Bronce (Anita) Smith both of Bonne Terre; grandchildren, Alina Braning, Ashley (Tom) Alleva, Alex Poucher, Lacie Smith, Whitney (Jeremy) Partney, Cody McGee, Kelsie Smith, and Ian Smith; great-grandchildren, Emma, Gracie, and Katie Braning; Logan and Heather Tabor; Anthony, and Joey Alleva; Penny Poucher, Hadley McGee and Shayne Smith.
A Memorial visitation will be Tuesday from 5 pm until time of memorial service at 7 pm at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Interment of the cremains will be at the Bonne Terre Cemetery private at a later date. Memorial donations may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
