Bruce Alan Boren

Bruce Alan Boren, 64, of Farmington passed away November 26, 2023 at Parkland Health Center in Farmington. He was born June 19, 1959 in Bonne Terre. He attended New Heights Church, was a member of the Farmington Elks Lodge #1765 and former Ride Captain for the SEMO Patriot Guard. Bruce was formerly employed at the Potosi Correctional Center and the City of Farmington. He was currently employed at Parkland Health Center in Farmington as a Public Safety Officer. He was also the former light technician for the band Medallion. He enjoyed riding his Harley, golfing, fishing, antiquing, woodworking, going on cruises and driving his Challenger.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Mary Lou (Dush) Slade; step-father, Kenneth Slade; maternal grandparents, George B. Dush and Octa (Dorris) Dush.
Bruce is survived by his loving wife, Martha (Myers) Boren; one son, Matthew Alan Boren and fiancé Samantha Petrie; brother, Kevin Boren and wife Cindy; sister, Kathy Tenholder and husband Ed; devoted friends, Courtney Detring and Ruth Flanigan and their families. Several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins also survive.
Visitation will be held Friday, December 1, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge with an Elks service at 6:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday at 8:00 AM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge until the time of service at 11:00 AM with Rev. Rocky Good, Rev. Bobby Upchurch and Brother Dennis Conway officiating. Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington.
