Bryan Dale Haus, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully at home on May 12, 2026, at the age of 85. He was born on March 8, 1941, in Goodland, MO, to the late Albert and Ruby (Gallahar) Haus. He spent his life dedicated to family, service, and his passion for mechanics and vintage automobiles.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a stepson, Eric James Dell; and siblings, Diane, Erlene, and Edward.
Dale proudly served in the United States Army, enlisting on March 16, 1962, and achieving the rank of Sergeant before his honorable discharge on March 12, 1965. After his military service, he pursued a fulfilling career as a mechanic in the mines and then worked for many years as supervisor at an airport in the mechanic and maintenance division. He was well-known for his expertise and craftsmanship, which extended to his love for antique cars and trucks.
Dale was a man of many hobbies. He found joy in fishing, riding 4x4s, and was renowned among family and friends as an ace at cards. His playful spirit and competitive nature brought laughter and joy to countless gatherings. He was married to his beloved wife, Ruth Haus, for 45 wonderful years. Together, they created a loving family that has grown through the years.
Dale is survived by his children: Melissa Kegley and Brenda (Larry) Lacey, his stepchildren: Marjorie (Joe) Colyott, Brenda (Kevin) Golden, Leona (Larry) Sisk, Buddy (Theresa) Dell, Deloris Lee, and Marvin Bone, a brother, Denver (Sharon) Haus. Dale was a proud grandfather to a total of 27 grandchildren and a cherished great-grandfather to many. Several nieces, nephews, other family and friends will miss him.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home-Bryson Chapel in Pilot Knob on May 15, 2026, at 12:00 PM, until a funeral service at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Larry Allison. Interment will follow at Mount Pleasant Cemetery in Goodland, Missouri. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer Funeral Home-Bryson Chapel in Pilot Knob.
