Carl Arthur Pulley

Carl Arthur Pulley of Ironton, Missouri, passed away in his home on April 9, 2023 at the age of 88 years. He was born October 5, 1934 in Centerville, Missouri to the late Walter Grey and Laura (Grahman) Pulley. He was united in marriage to Lula Mae (Reed) on February 4, 1961 and she preceded him in death in November of 2016. Carl is survived by two children: Phil (Lavinia) Pulley of Ironton, Missouri and Lisa (James) Lewis of Caledonia, Missouri. He is survived by one brother, John "Pete" Pulley. Carl is also survived by nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Carl was preceded in death by his brothers; Bobby Pulley, Melvin Pulley, Burnell Pulley and Wayne Pulley and five sisters; JoAnn Hodge, Myrtle Lewis, Burtle Lewis, Eufa Mae DeVaney, Lorrine Bates and infant sister Darlene Pulley. Carl worked at ASARCO Smelter and Refinery. Carl loved to play basketball, fish, hunt and garden. He also loved Blue Grass music and dancing. Carl previously attended Stouts Creek Baptist Church. Carl was dearly loved and will be missed by family and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Bryson Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Adam Logan officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, April 20, 2023 at 9:30 a.m. Interment will be in the Mount Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Redford, Missouri. Memorials may be made to Bryson Funeral Home to help with final expenses.
