Carol Victory Garrison

Carol Victory Garrison, age 83 of Farmington, Missouri, passed away on Friday, May 16, 2025, at her home in Farmington, Missouri. She was born on April 25, 1942, in Buckhorn, Missouri, to William Joseph and Jewell Dean (Henson) Parson.

She married Mardis Calvin Shemwell who preceded her in death in 1969, in later years she married Ben Wayne Garrison, he precedes her in death.

She is survived by her three sons – Richard (Sandy) Shemwell of Granite City, Illinois, Mardis (Ruthy) of Huntsville, Alabama and Harlen Shemwell (Marie) of Annapolis, Missouri; six daughters – Doris Pulley of Granite City, Wanda (James) Hardy of White Bluff, Tennessee, Camella (Randy) Wadlow of Ironton, Missouri, Tabatha (Buddy) Michel of Farmington, Eartha (Bob) Michel of Fredericktown, Missouri and Trenna (Jeff) Vance of Farmington and bonus children – Bob (Maureen) Garrison of DeSoto, Missouri, Karren Garrison of Festus, Missouri and Michael Garrison also of Festus; one brother – Bill (Debbie) Parson of Marquand, Missouri; one sister – Cathy (Neil) Marsh of Arcadia, Missouri and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she is preceded in death by one daughter – Martha Reeder and one brother - Winfred Parson.

Carol was a homemaker, she enjoyed sewing, working with crafts and spending time with her family; she was a member of Big Creek Baptist Church in Buckhorn.

Visitation will be from 12:00 – 2:00 p.m., on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Monday, May 19, 2025, at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Richard Sikes officiating.

Interment will be at the Huffman-McKelvey Cemetery in Buckhorn.
