Carol Carletta House

Carol Carletta (Son) House, 83, of Bonne Terre, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 27, 2026. She was born on Monday, January 4, 1943, to the late Oren and Myrtle (Cash) Son. Carol married Cecil House on February 20, 1958. She was a member of Providence Baptist Church in Bonne Terre.

Carol enjoyed the simple pleasures in life. She loved cross-stitching, crossword puzzles and word searches, and had a special love for horses. These hobbies brought her countless hours of joy and reflected her patient, thoughtful, and caring nature.

In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her brother, Donald Son; grandchild, Andrew “Andy” Vollersten; and brother-in-law, Gene Richardson.

She is survived by her husband, Cecil House; three daughters, Cathy Rearden, Cindy (Randy) Gower, and Carla House; four grandchildren, Will “Ashley” (Natalie) Rearden, Amanda (Jason) Heberlie, Amy (Mark) Hager, and Leslie (Ryan) Tiemeyer; eight great-grandchildren, Hadley, Harper, and Holland Rearden, Emma and Katelyn Heberlie, GraceAnn Hager, and Aly Ann and August “Auggie” Tiemeyer; three sisters, Marilyn Richardson, Darlene (David) Thurman, and Ruth Ann Johnson; as well as a host of extended family members and friends.

Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Bonne Terre on Friday, July 31, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until funeral service of 12:00 P.M. Pastor Randy Murphy will be officiating. Burial will follow at Germania Cemetery in Bonne Terre. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Providence Baptist Church.
