Carol Mauer

          Carol Elaine Mauer, 82, of Leadington, passed away January 28, 2022, at her home, surrounded by her family and loved ones.  She was born October 3, 1939, in Flat River, to the late Albert and Elaine (Watkins) Spradlin.  She loved fishing, playing dice and cards, computer games and spending time with family. 

          She was preceded in death by her parents; loving husband of 36 years, Darrel Duwayne Mauer; two sisters, Doris Milburn, Louise Peterson and one brother, Donald Hoopes.

          Carol is survived by her children, Ginger Thomure, Stephen Haynes, Rick (Rita) Mauer, Vicky (Jim) Boyd and many others by choice; twelve grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; and special friend, Lorraine Hickson.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Caldwell Chapel in Park Hills, Monday, February 7, 2022, from 12:00 PM until the time of service at 1:00 PM.  Eddie Elliott will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery in Leadington.
