It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Carol Pettus, 67, who left this world on Saturday, June 28, 2025. Carol was a devoted mother, cherished grandmother, and a compassionate caretaker whose love knew no bounds. She is survived by her son Clint Pettus, daughter-in-law Megan Pettus, and her beloved grandchildren; Trenton, Rylan, and Kendall Pettus; a dear sister, Connie Mosier, who shared a deep bond of sisterhood; along with several nieces, nephews, family members and friends. Who will miss her dearly.
Carol's grandchildren were the lights of her life; she adored them deeply and made every effort to attend their sporting events and school programs. With her unwavering support and enthusiasm, Carol was always there to cheer them on, instilling in them the values of love and commitment that she held dear.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Stan and Ira (Eaton) Stegall, husband, Clinton E. Pettus, half-brother, Vernon “Punk” Motley. A nurturing spirit, Carol found joy in cooking for her family and taking care of her beautiful garden, where her flowers flourished much like the love she cultivated within her family. Her caring nature extended beyond her immediate family, as she often went out of her way to provide comfort and help to others in need. Carol’s warmth and kindness touched everyone who knew her, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts.
