Carolyn Sue Hughes

Mrs. Carolyn Sue 'Smith' Hughes passed away late Tuesday afternoon, January 2, 2018, at Southeast Hospital, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of 69 years, 1 month and 21 days. Carolyn was born on November 11, 1948, in Carlinville, Illinois, and was the daughter of Clarence Smith and Helen 'Bivin' Smith.

Carolyn was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church of Farmington.

Survivors Include : her husband, Larry G. Hughes, of Farmington. 2 children - Eric J. Hughes, of Farmington & Ann (Mrs. Kent) Wagner, of Fairdealing, Missouri. 2 sisters - Diane Rekert, of Gillespie, Illinois & Shirley Delong, of Carlinville, Illinois. 4 brothers - David (& Sharry) Smith, of Plainview, Illinois; Irvin Smith, of Heddic, Illinois; Bill (& Connie) Terry, of Woodriver, Illinois & Gene Smith, of Carlinville, Illinois. Also surviving are 5 grandchildren - Lawrence James Hughes; Hanna Marie Hughes; Allison (James) Blalock; Anthony Scott Burkhart & Brody Wagner.

Memorial Visitation Starts : Saturday @ 12 Noon

Memorial Service : Saturday, 2:00 p.m., January 6, 2018

at : TAYLOR Funeral Service CHAPEL, with Rev. Doug Tucker officiating

Private Burial was held Friday, 2:00 p.m., January 5, 2018, at Hillview Memorial Gardens Cemetery
