Carolyn Sue (Walker) Vance daughter of John and Hazel (Collier) Walker born December 6, 1950 passed away August 28, 2026 peacefully surrounded by family at Barnes Jewish Hospital.

Presiding her in death parents John and Hazel Walker, husband Gene Adams, sister Patricia Long, brother John Walker, sister in law Barbara Walker, brother in laws Johnnie Long, Joe Smith, Bob Schwent.

Surviving, granddaughter Madison Moore, great granddaughter Eleanore Donahue, brothers Donald (Pauline) Walker, Doyle (Alma Asher) Walker, sisters Sharon Smith, Connie (Tom) Lewandowski, Dawn (Dave Munchenburg) Schwent. Best friends Julie and Steve Horton, Dee Wilson, Phyllis Johnson as well as a host of nieces and nephews and friends.

Carol had a passion for nursing and her calling was nursing faculty residents whom she loved.

Carol referred to herself as Nurse Two Feathers.
She was always ready to go to the casino, always up to something fun and it was never a dull moment when Carol was around. She loved her family dearly and was the fun aunt. Her time with her great granddaughter Ellie was her most treasured time. We take peace in know she is home with Jesus and loved ones who went before her.

The family is planning a Celebration of Life for Carol will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at Calvary Church in Fredericktown.  Family and friends are invited to the celebration from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  Arrangements are under the care of C. Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Homes-Wilson Chapel.
