Catherine Droney

Catherine Droney, age 75, of Irondale, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on Tuesday, May 27, 1947, in St. Louis to the late Louis and Lucille (Barton) Zilch. Catherine worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant.  She enjoyed fishing and started a mini zoo at her home for her grandchildren to enjoy.  

She was preceded in death by her parents and three sisters, her twin in infancy, Caroline Zilch, Bernice Zilch and Sharon Pratte.

Catherine is survived by her loving husband of 29 years, Ronald Droney; three sons, Ron LaGarce and wife Stacey, Brian LaGarce and wife Mary, Steve LaGarce and wife Theresa; five grandchildren, Kaycee Dragone and husband Santo, Devin LaGarce and wife Kristin, Austin LaGarce and wife Tiffany, Hayley LaGarce and Luke LaGarce; three great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Sophia LaGarce, Vivian Dragone; three siblings, Brenda Harris, Theresa Graczyk and Carl Zilch; along with several nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Per Catherine’s wishes there will be no services.  Arrangements under the direction of C. Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
