Cathy (Whitchurch) Mofield

Cathy Susanne Mofield, age 64 (formerly of Fredericktown) passed away on Sunday, January 28, 2024, at her home in Jackson, Missouri. She was born on October 7, 1959, in St. Louis, Missouri to Lloyd Lee and Alpha Omega (Johnston) Whitchurch.

On June 20, 1976, in Centerville, Missouri, she was united in marriage to Donald Ray Mofield, he survives at the home.

Other survivors include two sons & daughters-in-law – Ken & Merissa Mofield of Columbia, Missouri, and John & Tasha Mofield of Bloomington, Indiana; three brothers – Gary (Debbie) Whitchurch of Farmington, Missouri, Larry (Fran) Whitchurch and George Whitchurch both of Fredericktown; two sisters – Sharol (Jerry) Williams of Ellington, Missouri, and Jan (Brady) Fox of Centerville, Missouri; one granddaughter – Julia Bridges of Columbia; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and her faithful companion, her beagle, "Jack".

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by an infant brother, Gregory Whitchurch.

Cathy had worked at the Indiana University Health Sleep Disorder Center as a Polysomnographic Technician until health issues forced her into early retirement; she enjoyed the outdoors, spending time at the river, fishing, camping, traveling, her flowers and her koi pond, but most of all spending time with her family.

Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Missouri, Funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., also on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at the funeral home with burial in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Fredericktown.

In lieu of flowers the family suggest memorial contributions go to Wilson Funeral Home/Cathy Mofield Memorial.
