Charles "Chuck" Benoist

          Chuck Benoist, 88, of Bonne Terre, passed away October 28, 2021, at his home surrounded by the ones he loved.  He was born July 14, 1933, in Irondale, to the late John and Eva Mae (Yates) Benoist. Chuck was a member of the Primrose Baptist Church and past Exalted Ruler of Mineral Area Elks and was a charter member.  He retired after 38 years with Union Electric and did mission work, building under Devine Direction Budd Builders.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruth Ann Benoist; son, Charles “Charlie” Benoist and wife Susan; grandson, Josh Starks; sisters, Pinnie Boyer, Anna Ross and Bertha Jolley; brothers, Thomas Benoist, Howard Benoist and half-brother, Peter Benoist.

          Chuck is survived by his children, Rhonda White and husband Justin, Cassie Starks and husband Paul, and Chris Benoist; grandchildren, John Marshall, Drew White, Matt Benoist, Jennifer (Scott) Speidel, and C.J. Benoist; step-grandchildren, Karrie Thurman and Kim Combs; and eight great-grandchildren.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Sunday, October 31, 2021, from 12:00 PM until service time at 2:00 PM.  Reverend Randy Murphy will be officiating.  Interment will follow at Adams Cemetery in Frankclay.  Memorials may be directed to Primrose Baptist Church.
