Charles Lee Dawson

Charles Lee Dawson, 85, of Bonne Terre passed away December 18, 2015 at Mercy Jefferson.  He was born April 22, 1930 in Bonne Terre.  Charles loved his church, the First Presbyterian Church of the Leadbelt, and was involved in all aspects of the church where he served as an elder.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Barbara Pauline (Qualls) Dawson; parents, Charles Leo and Clara Isabelle (Nethington) Dawson; son, John Charles Dawson; granddaughter, Jennifer Christine Dawson; great-granddaughter, Brenna Elizabeth Cosgrove.

Charles is survived by two daughters, Janet Evans and husband Douglas of Leadwood and Jeanne Sutton and fiancé Greg Burns of Bismarck; grandchildren, John C. Dawson, Jr., Janelle Cosgrove, Tara Evans, Garrett Evans, Shawnna Evans, Shaylen Sutton, Skyler Sutton, Brayden Burns; and several great-grandchildren; brother, Jerry Dawson and wife Sandra; sister, Barbara Humphrey and husband Gene.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, December 22, 11:00 AM until the time of service at 1:00 PM at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home in Desloge with Reverend Jim Wills officiating.  Interment will follow in Parkview Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Farmington Pet Adoption Center.
