Charles Scoggin

Charles Scoggin, 94, of Desloge, passed away October 8, 2023, at Presbyterian Manor in Farmington. He was born February 2, 1929, in Adairville, Kentucky, to the late Denton and Edna May (Barnes) Scoggin. Charles served his country in the United States Army and later received his master’s degree in education, where he worked for 33 years, before retiring as Assistant Principal of Central High School in Park Hills. Charles is a member of the First United Methodist Church in Park Hills.

He was preceded in death by his parents; loving wife of 63 years, Nan Carolyn (Rowland) Scoggin; daughter in infancy, Tracey Scoggin; brothers, John and Thomas Scoggin.

Charles is survived by his children, Alison (Sue Pyles) Scoggin, Marc Scoggin and wife Debbie; two grandchildren, Addie and Denton Scoggin.

A private graveside service will be held at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be directed to Alzheimer’s Association. Arrangements are under the direction of C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge.
