Mr. Charles E. Wann, Jr., of Doe Run, passed away suddenly, Monday, April 2, 2007, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, Farmington, at the age of 76 years, 6 months & 6 days. Charlie was born September 26, 1930, in St. Louis, MO., to Charles E. Wann, Sr. & Mildred D. 'Flaherty' Wann. Also preceding were: a Step-Son, Dennis Copeland, & a Step-Granddaughter, Katie Whitener.

Charlie was a member of Farmington 1st Free Will Baptist Church. He was a Woodcarver & affectionately known as "The Ole Buzzard." Charlie was quite a character; loved hunting; fishing & his family very much.

Survivors Include: his Wife - Hazel F. 'Gonz' Hoehn Wann, of Farmington; A Chosen Daughter: Wendy 'Mrs. Danny' Meis, of Eleva, WI; 3 Step-Daughters: Sandy 'Mrs. Fred' Killian, of Arcadia; Sally 'Mrs. Sam' Whitener, of Farmington & Susan 'Mrs. Bruce' Baird, of Ste. Genevieve. A Step Daughter-In-Law: Merilla Copeland, of Phoenix, AZ; Step-Sons: Charles (& Sandy) Hoehn, of Hereford, AZ; Steve (& Donna) Hoehn, of Farmington; Michael (& Billie) Hoehn, of Doe Run; Howard (& Debbie) Hoehn, of Farmington; Matt (& Joanne) Hoehn, of Farmington. 1 Sister: Margarette 'Mrs. Porter' Hensley, of Farmington; 1 Brother: Jim (& Joyce) Wann, of Lenexa, KS; 3 Nephews: Gary, Dan & Brian Wann; 5 Great-Nephews & 1 Great-Niece. A Special Niece: Sue 'Mrs. Joe' Pearsall, of Farmington; Step-Grandchildren: Daniella, Dennis Jr., Charles & paula Copeland; Andrew & Nathan Meis; Ann Wise; Bunnie Wolski; Nathan Hoehn; Michelle Pryor; Joey Major; Adam, Robert & A.J. Killian; Josh & Dustin Hoehn; Marcus, Marissa, Nicholas & Natalie Hoehn; Jake Whitener; Becky, Jenny & Luke Baird. Also, 16 Step, Great-Grandchildren.

Visitation: Wednesday, 4-9 pm Visitation resumes Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m., resuming 12 Noon at the church.

Funeral: Thursday, 2:00 p.m., April 5, 2007

at: Farmington First Free Will Baptist Church, with Rev. Roger Hogan; Rev. David Bates & Rev. Fred Killian officiating.

Interment : Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
