Charlotte Louise Settlemoir

Charlotte Louise Settlemoir, age 84, passed away on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at her daughter's home in Fredericktown, Missouri. She was born on August 27, 1940, to the late Edward "Eddie" and Charlotte (Meyer) Freeman of Arnold, Missouri.

She is survived by one daughter Kathy (Mike) Campbell, one son – Kenny (Donna) Settlemoir, one brother – Dennis (Tootie) Freeman, six grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and her faithful companion, her dog, Abby.

In addition to her parents, and husband, she is preceded in death by one son - Kevin Settlemoir,  one great grandson, two sisters – Colleen Valencia and Patricia Meyer, one brother – Red Freeman.

Charlotte was born and raised in the St. Louis/Arnold area where she met the love of her life Kenneth Charles Settlemoir, with whom she was united in marriage on May 2, 1959, in Waterloo, Illinois, Kenneth preceded her in death on November 5, 2016.

She worked at Brown Shoe and Cap America in Fredericktown for many years while helping keep up the family farms she and her husband had purchased in Fredericktown after residing in Hillsboro, Missouri. Charlotte was such a beautiful soul, she loved her church and loved praising God with her well-known beautiful singing voice. She grew up singing in a band, small town bluegrass gospel gatherings and eventually only church. She loved singing with Kenny in church and she loved her dog, Abby. She also loved her flowers.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m., on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown, Missouri,  Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m.,. also on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Greg Swan, Bro David Royer and her son, Bro. Kenny Settlemoir officiating.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, April 7, 2025, at Little Vine Cemetery near Fredericktown.
