Cheri Joan Lee, formerly of Arcadia, Missouri, peacefully passed away on January 17, 2024, in St. Louis, Missouri at the age of 81. She was born on November 27, 1942 in Ironton, MIssouri, the cherished daughter of the late James Edward and Mildred (Myracle) DeGonia. Cheri was the mother of three children: Michael Naug (Starla) of Flower Mound, Texas, Tonia Minks of Ironton, Missouri, and the late Jamie Naug. She leaves behind five grandchildren ---- Blaise and Brianna Naug, Kaleigh Naug and Marissa Mayes, and Teagan Minks. A proud 1960 graduate of Ironton High School, Cheri embarked on a successful career in Real Estate. With dedication spanning over 50 years, she contributed significantly to Coldwell Banker in Texas. Her first year as a real estate agent, Cheri earned the Rookie of the Year award. She loved her profession. She was a long time member of the Arcadia Valley United Methodist Church. Cheri, a fun-loving grandmother, and mother found joy in encouraging her loved ones and passionately cheering on her grandchildren. In her leisure time, she delved into studying her genealogy, meticulously noting the ancestry of her family. A passionate cook, Cheri loved to bond over a good meal and was renowned for creating specialty desserts from past cruises for her children. An enthusiast of family camping excursions, she adored the water. Cheri will be remembered for her unique laugh – a contagious sound that echoed through any room, bringing smiles to all who heard it. Her captivating stories, filled with laughter, will forever resonate in our hearts. Services for Cheri will be held at the Arcadia Valley Global Methodist Church on Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Barron Willer officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. prior to the service. Cheri will be laid to rest with her parents in a private committal service at Arcadia Valley Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Arcadia Valley Food Pantry.
