Chester Brooks

Chester Brooks, age 81 passed away at his home near Fredericktown, Missouri on Friday, April 28, 2017. He was born on October 30, 1935 in Grand Tower, Illinois, a son of James Edward and Edna Irene (Hagler) Brooks. On July 12, 1958 in St. Louis, Missouri he was united in marriage to Joetta Lee Nelson, she survives at the home.     Other survivors include: three sons - Dale (Victoria) Brooks of Fredericktown, Carl (Debbie) Brooks of Waterloo, Illinois and Don (Veronica) Brooks of St. Louis; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. His parents and one brother, Charles Brooks precedes him in death.     Chester was a United States Army Veteran, he was a retired heavy equipment mechanic and welder for Big River Zinc Co. in Illinois; he enjoyed hunting and working outdoors.      Internment will be held at 10:30 a.m., on Tuesday, May 2, 2017 at Jefferson Barracks Cemetery in St. Louis.
