Chester Otis Clifton

Chester Otis Clifton, age 69 passed away on Friday, September 29, 2017 at his home in Fredericktown, Missouri. He was born on January 19, 1948 in Quilan, Missouri, a son of Edgar Otis and Marie (Mathis) Clifton. On October 31, 2000 he was united in marriage to Ester Street, she survives in Fredericktown.     Other survivors include: stepson - James Stree of Fenton, Missouri; stepdaughter - Shannon (Chuck) Gentles of Piedmont, Missouri; sisters - Barbara Windle oif Cape Girardeau, Missouri and Dorothy Vaughn of Campbell, Missouri; six step grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.     He is preceded in death by one brother - Lester Clifton and two sisters - Mary Whited and Joann Young.     Chester had worked at Madison County Wood Products in Fredericktown; he enjoyed mowing his lawn, fishing, collecting old cars, clocks, gospel music and going to church where he was a member at the Cornerstone Tabernacle Church in Fredericktown.      Visitation will be from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., on Monday, October 2, 2017 at Wilson Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 also at Wilson Funeral Home with Pastor Eddie Spain officiating. Internment will be at the Oddfellows Cemetery in Fredericktown.  Memorial contributions are suggested to the Chester Clifton Memorial Fund.     Condolences may be posted on this website.
