Chester Floyd Douglas, formerly of Pilot Knob, Missouri passed away June 17, 2017 in Festus, Missouri at the age of 85 years. He was born December 2, 1931 in Pilot Knob, Missouri the son of the late Quinton and Cora (Wright) Douglas. On July 12, 1952 Chester was united in marriage to Edna Mae Orrick who survives and resides in Potosi, Missouri. Also surviving are his son, Ernest Floyd Douglas and domestic partner, Melody Brown of St. Joseph, Missouri, grandson, Shiloah Quinton Douglas, and three great grandchildren; Briley Douglas, Syndee Douglas, and Briston Douglas as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Chester was preceded in death by his sister; LaVerne Cobb and two brothers; Lawrence Douglas and Raymond Douglas. Chester served his country in the United States Army. He worked as a machine operator for Brown Shoe Factory for over twenty years before retiring. He was a 32nd degree Mason and a life member of the NRA.
