Chester Harold Wells

Chester Wells, 84, of Irondale, passed away May 31, 2022, at SSM Health St. Clair Hospital in Fenton.  He was born June 8, 1937, in Bonne Terre, to the late Chester Everrett and Ethel May (Whitter) Wells. He was a member of Irondale Assembly of God.  He retired from the West County School District with over 45 years of dedicated service as a school bus driver and custodian. Chester loved driving the school bus and referred to all of them as “his kids”. He was a hard working family man who loved his family dearly.

          He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Virginia Lavern (Mosier) Wells; children, Regina Aden, Randy, Steven and Mike Wells; daughter-in-law, Dana Wells; brothers, Howard, Glen, Clifton and Walter Wells; sisters, Joyce, Wilma and Frieda.

          Chester is survived by daughter, Gloria Bond; sons, Donnie (CJ) Wells, Dennis (Belinda) Wells, Darren (Linda) Wells; daughter-in-law, Rhonda Wells; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and a special fur baby, Tippy.

          Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge Friday, June 3, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Visitation will resume on Saturday, June 4, 2022 from 10:00 AM until service time at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow at Bismarck Masonic Cemetery in Bismarck.
