Chris Queen

Christopher “Chris” Queen, age 66, of Bonne Terre, passed away Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Mercy Jefferson Hospital in Festus. Chris was born on Tuesday, April 14, 1959, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Larry Munson and Nedra Darlene (Eaton) Queen.

Chris was preceded in death by his father, Larry Queen; first wife of 31 years, Cheryl Queen; two sons, Anthony and Adam Hammack

Chris formerly worked at St. Joe Mine Company and, later he transitioned to a role in maintenance at Walmart. Beyond his professional endeavors, Chris found joy in life’s simple pleasures. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, relishing the freedom of the open road. Fishing provided him with tranquility, allowing him to escape into nature and spend quality time with his family and friends. Chris also had a deep love for music, particularly the timeless melodies of Elvis Presley, and held a devoted passion for his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys. He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth (Looser) Queen; son, Rick Queen and wife Melissa; mother, Nedra Queen; four grandchildren, Christopher Hammack, Cameron, Aubre and Sydney Queen; two siblings, Tianny Richardson and husband David, Kirk Queen and wife Jill along with several nieces, nephews, friends and family.

Visitation will be held at The First Baptist Church in Desloge, Wednesday, July 2, 2025, from 9:30 AM until the time of service at 10:30 AM. Pastor Jeff Richards will be officiating. Interment will follow at Leadwood Cemetery in Leadwood. Chris will be remembered as a man who embraced life fully, connecting with others through his warmth and generosity.
