Chris Harmon of Terre du Lac passed away May 30, 2026. He was born April 28, 1977, in St. Francois County, to the late Dearld and Sandra (Barlow) Harmon.
Chris was a proud member of Local 513 and dedicated many years to his work as an Operating Engineer. Everyone who knew Chris knew that sitting idle was not in his nature. He always had a project underway, a vehicle to tinker with or something to fix. His legacy is not only in the things he built and repaired, but in the lives he touched, the love he gave and the family and friends he cherished. He will also be remembered for his quick wit and sense of humor. He had an effortless way of making people laugh.
He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Sharon Harmon.
Chris was the beloved husband to his loving wife, Crystal G. Politte-Harmon. They were blessed to spend 31 wonderful years together and built a life full of love, laughter and unwavering devotion. Chris was also an amazing father to his daughter, Hailey Sharon Harmon. She was his greatest joy and his love for her was evident in everything he did.
He is also survived by his sister, Tracy Thomas and husband Edward; father and mother in-law, Tommy and Margaret Politte; nephews, Darren Thomas and wife Brittany, Haydin Eckhoff, Noah Eckhoff and Devin Eckhoof; niece, Ashley Thomas; brothers in-law, Matthew Eckhoff and Tommy Politte, Jr.; great uncle to Liam, Macie and Kalum; along with a host of other family and friends who will miss him deeply.
Visitation will be held at C.Z. Boyer and Son Funeral Home in Desloge, Wednesday, June 3, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM. The visitation will resume, Thursday, June 4, 2026, from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM. Reverend Ryan Retzer will be officiating.
